About
Hello! I am Becca, an alum of the Iowa State University Apparel, Merchandising, and Design program, with an emphasis in Fashion Communications and minors in Sustainability and Fashion Culture, History, and Social Justice. I am passionate about all that I do, from producing the largest student-run fashion show in the country to sourcing clothing for my next styling project. I am highly interested in sustainable fashion and love to learn about ethical apparel sourcing.
One of my most valuable roles has been my position as an Outreach Producer for The Fashion Show at ISU, in which I encouraged community engagement through a $45,000 fundraising campaign, designed a themed merchandise line that generated more than $8,000 in profit, and collaborated with intimates brand Parade to present a branded runway show as part of The Fashion Show. My other recent notable work includes my research at the ISU Textiles and Clothing Museum and position as a Merchandising Intern at Todd Snyder.

My Fashion Journey
As an identical twin, I have always turned to fashion as my favorite way to express my individuality and differentiate myself from my twin and others. After taking a Fashion Marketing and Merchandising class in high school, I realized I could turn my interest in self-expression through fashion into a career path.
I have gained extensive knowledge at Iowa State University about the fashion industry from some of my favorite courses such as Aesthetics and Brand Image and Product Development. I spent my first semester of junior year studying abroad at the London College of Fashion, where I became inspired by the creativity and unique style in a global fashion capital. I was well-immersed in the fashion scene at LCF, from directing two fashion photoshoots to assisting backstage at London Fashion Week to exploring luxury fashion museums.
Additionally, my focus on sustainability throughout my fashion studies has allowed me to be awarded as a 2x Fashion Scholarship Fund Scholar through my merchandising case studies focusing on innovative technology and sustainable textiles. I believe in the fashion industry’s ability to positively change its environmental and social impacts, and I am a part of this change.
